Welcome Dr. Carol Roote
Department of Biology
 
The Department of Biology welcomes Dr. Carol Roote as its' newest faculty member. Dr. Roote received her Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. Her area of specialization is developmental biology with a special emphasis on cell adhesion melecules in the fruit fly, Deosophila melanogaster.

Dr. Roote will be starting as the department's 5th full-time faculty member in the fall of 2007.

Among other things, Dr. Roote will be teaching developmental biology, clinical microbiology, biological systems, and other non-majors biology courses.
