ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2006) -- Host RIT remained unbeaten in Empire 8 Conference action or women's volleyball Wednesday as the Tigers defeated Nazareth in four games. Scores were 30-20, 30-27, 22-30, 30-27.

RIT improved to 3-0 in the Empire 8 and 18-9 overall. Nazareth fell to 1-1 and 9-15.

Sophomore Laura Persico was Nazareth's statistical leader with 20 kills and 11 digs. Junior Elizabeth Tregan (pictured) added 13 kills and 12 digs. Freshmen Katelynn Reed and Carra Vanderstyne had nine and eight kills respectively for the Golden Flyers. Vanderstyne also contributed 22 digs. Junior setter Elyse Monje had 42 assists.

Nazareth travels to Wellesley College in Massachusetts for tournament matches Friday and Saturday.
