Golden Flyers compete at RIT this weekend

N.Y. (Sept. 12, 2006) -- Host Geneseo rallied
from a two-games-to-one deficit Tuesday to win
a non-conference women's volleyball match over
Nazareth in five games. Geneseo won by scores
of 30-20, 23-30, 25-30, 30-24, 15-10.
The defeat evened Nazareth's overall record at
3-3. The Golden Flyers compete again this weekend
at the RIT Invitational. The Golden Flyers play
Brockport Friday at 6 p.m. and New York University
at 8 p.m. Action resumes Saturday morning.
Against Geneseo, sophomore Laura Persico (pictured)
posted 16 kills and 15 digs and freshman setter
Kate Zwickl contributed 48 assists. Junior Elizabeth
Tregan had 12 kills and freshman Natasha Villane
had 15 digs.
