NAZARETH OUTLASTS FREDONIA IN 5
Golden Flyers travel to Carnegie Mellon this weekend

FREDONIA, N.Y. (Sept. 19, 2006) -- Sophomore Laura Persico (pictured) combined 20 kills with three service aces and 15 digs Tuesday as visiting Nazareth prevailed in a five-game women's volleyball match against Fredonia. The Golden Flyers improved to 5-6 overall after winning by scores of 30-27, 18-30, 30-25, 14-30, 15-10.

Nazareth had 10 kills in the decisive fifth game against just two hitting errors to claim the victory. Junior Elizabeth Tregan and freshman Hillary Adam each reached double digits in kills with 16 and 10 respectively.

Freshman Natasha Villane keyed the defense with 21 of Nazareth's 77 defensive digs and freshman setter Kate Zwickl had 45 assists.

The Golden Flyers return to action this weekend at the Carnegie Mellon Crossover. Tournament schedule.
