(pictured) had 14 kills, 6 digs, and four-assisted
blocks and junior Tom Maving added nine kills
Friday as Nazareth opened the North East Collegiate
Volleyball Association (NECVA) tournament with
a three-game victory over Philadelphia Biblical.
Scores were 30-22, 30-22, 30-26.
Freshman setter Kevin Kirchhoff recorded 41 assists
while junior Kellen Gambeski added nine kills
and four aces for the Golden Flyers.
Leandro Dueck and Richie Sparling produced 16
and 14 kills respectively for Philadelphia Biblical.
Brad Chrisman added 30 assists for the Crimson
Eagles.
Nazareth advances to the second round of the NECVA
tournament and will play against Ramapo at 1 p.m.
The winner of the two will play at 5 p.m. in the
semifinals.
