SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (April 14, 2007) -- Six Nazareth
track and field athletes competed Saturday at
the Slippery Rock Invitational and each performed
well in their respective events.
Junior Aaron Sirtoli (pictured) placed second
in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and bettered
his own school record by three seconds with a
time of 9:33.99.
Junior Nick Stenuf was second in the 800-meter
run with a time of 1:54.12. Others who competed
were: sophomore Brandon Wheeler, fifth in the
400-meter dash (:49.77); junior Brendan Epstein,
fourth in the 10,000-meter run (32:54.90); sophomore
Lauren Glaser, second in the women's 800-meter
run (2:23.89); and junior Ashley Hughes, sixth
in thew 5,000-meter run (19:17.58).
