AARON SIRTOLI NAMED
EMPIRE 8 ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
 ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (Feb. 5, 2007) -- Aaron Sirtoli, a junior
on he Nazareth track and field team, has been
named Empire 8 Conference Athlete of the Week
for the seven-day period that ended April 1.
A native of West Winfield, N.Y. and a graduate
of Mt. Markham High School, Sirtoli shattered
Nazareth's school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase
last Saturday to win the event at the Muhlenberg
Invitational.
Sirtoli's winning time of 9:36.96 was nearly
a minute faster than his closest pursuer.
Nazareth competes again Saturday at the University
of Rochester Invitational.
