 ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (Oct. 4, 2005) -- Visiting Rochester won
five of six singles matches Tuesday as the Yellowjackedts
defeated Nazareth in a non-conference women's
tennis match, 7-2.
Nazareth completed its match schedule with a
6-3 overall record. The Golden Flyers, are seeded
second for this weekend's Empire 8 Conference
Tournament that will take place at Nazareth, RIT
and St. John Fisher.
Against UR, freshman Rachel Leonard (pictured)
won her match at second singles to boost her singles
record to 13-1. She also teamed with freshman
Stephanie Parvan for an 8-4 win at second doubles.
That second doubles tandem now has a record of
12-2.
