NAZARETH BLANKS FISHER, 9-0
RESULTS | UPDATED STATS

ROCHESTER, N.Y (Sept. 22, 2005) -- Host Nazareth won its second Empire 8 Conference match in women's tennis in three days Thursday as the Golden Flyers won all six singles matches and three doubles contests in a 9-0 victory over St. John Fisher. Earlier in the week, the Golden Flyers defeated RIT, 5-4.

Nazareth got straight-set singles victories from senior Angela Tessoni and freshmen Stephanie Parvan, Rachel Leonard and Danielle Carinci. Juniors Betsy O'Brien and Emily McAdoo (pictured) won in three sets.

In doubles, O'Brien and Tessoni teamed up for a victory at first doubles, while Leonard and Parvan triumphed at #2. McAdoo and Kathryn Cross combined for a victory at third doubles.

Nazareth is now 3-2 overall and 2-1 in conference action.
