| NAZARETH WINS RPI TENNIS
INVITATIONAL
RESULTS
TROY,
N.Y (Sept. 4, 2005) -- Nazareth College won all
three doubles flights and three of the six singles
flights to win the 2005 Rensselaer Invitational
Women's Tennis Tournament, hosted this weekend
by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) at Prospect
Park. With the victory, the Golden Flyers have
now won the event in five of the past seven years.
Senior Angela Tessoni (pictured) went unbeaten
for Nazareth in singles and doubles.
Rensselaer, the 2004 champions, finished second
with three points, followed by Hartwick and Russell
Sage, which tied for third with zero points.
The tournament was run as a round robin with
six flights in singles and three in doubles. Each
player played the other three in their flights
and those who won the most matches in their individual
flights earned a point for their school.

1st: Nazareth 8 points
2nd: Rensselaer 1
3rd: Hartwick & Russell Sage 0
