ROCHESTER, N.Y (Sept. 20, 2005) -- Visiting Nazareth won four of six singles matches Tuesday and went on to edge RIT in Empire 8 Conference women's tennis action, 5-4.

Senior Angela Tessoni took a three-set triumph at first singles, while freshmen Stephanie Parvan and Rachel Leonard were straight-set winners at second and third singles respectively. Freshman Danielle Carinci (pictured) won a close three-set match at sixth singles.

In doubles, Leonard and Parvan teamed up for an 8-2 win at second doubles for Nazareth's fifth point.

The Golden Flyers return to action Thursday when they host St. John Fisher in an Empire 8 match at 4 p.m.
