RESULTS

N.Y (Sept. 10, 2005) -- Freshmen Stephanie Parvan
(pictured) and Rachel Leonard each won three-set
singles matches Saturday for Nazareth, but the
Golden Flyers dropped their Empire 8 Conference
opener in women's tennis to Ithaca, 6-3.
Parvan dropped the first set to Ithaca's Melissa
Walsh 6-1, then rallied to win the next two sets
6-3 and 6-2. Likewise, Leonard lost 6-3 in her
first set against Ithaca's Narguess Arjomand,
then came back to win the match 6-1 and 6-1.
Nazareth (0-2 overall) also lost two of the three
doubles matches, with the third doubles team of
Kathryn Cross and Emily McAdoo winning 9-7.
