| NAZARETH DEFEATS HARTWICK
FOR WEEKEND SWEEP, 6-3
RESULTS

N.Y. (Oct. 2, 2005) -- Visiting Nazareth completed
a productive Empire 8 Conference weekend in women's
tennis Sunday as the Golden Flyers won their third
match in as many days by defeating Hartwick, 6-3.
The victory was the fifth straight for the Golden
Flyers, who improved to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in
conference matches. Nazareth also defeated Elmira,
8-1, on Friday and Alfred, 7-2, Saturday.
On Sunday, Nazareth handed Hartwick its first
E8 defeat of the season as the Golden Flyers captured
four of the six singles matches and two of three
doubles contests.
Freshman Rachel Leonard improved to 12-1 overall
in singles matches as she recorded a straight-set
victory at second singles. Freshman Stephanie
Parvan (pictured) also continued her strong play
with a straight-set victory at first singles.
She also teamed with Leonard for a victory at
second doubles.
Junior Emily McAdoo and sophomore Vittoria Souquet
Lucente also won three-set singles matches. McAdoo
also teamed with Kathryn Cross for a victory at
third doubles.
Nazareth plays a non-conference match against
the University of Rochester Tuesday at 4 p.m.
and then pargicipates in the Empire 8 Conference
Tournament next weekend.
