ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Oct. 4, 2006) -- Sophomore Rachel Leonard remained unbeaten at second singles with a straight-set victory Wednesday, but visiting Nazareth lost to Rochester in women's tennis, 6-3.

Nazareth is now 4-4 overall with the Empire 8 Conference Tournament coming up this weekend. In addition to Leonard, who improved to 10-0 at second singles with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over UR's Cassie Webster, Nazareth got singles victories from freshman Jackie Martinez, who improved to 7-2 at fourth singles, and from senior Emily McAdoo (pictured), who rallied for a 3-6, 6-3, 12-10 victory at fifth singles.

The Yellowjackets got singles wins from Colleen Cross at #1, Alexa Perry at #3 and from Megan Mears at #6. UR then won all three doubles matches.
