NAZARETH CLOSES WITH WIN OVER CORTLAND, 7-2
RESULTS | • STATS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 9, 2007) -- Host Nazareth won five of six singles matches Monday as the Golden Flyers completed their women's tennis schedule with a 7-2 victory over Cortland.

The victory enabled the Golden Flyers to finish the 2006-07 women's tennis season above .500 at 10-9 overall.

Sophomore Rachel Leonard and freshman Jackeline Martinez each won easily at second and fourth singles respectively. Sophomore Stephanie Parvan won a close match at first singles and senior Betsy O'Brien (pictured) went three sets to win her final singles match. Jessica Faber won for Nazareth at sixth singles.

Martinez and junior Ellen Austin teamed up to win at second doubles, while O'Brien and Emily McAdoo were winners at third doubles.
