ITHACA, N.Y. (Sept. 11, 2004) -- Host Ithaca won four of six singles matches and scored a key victory at third doubles Saturday to gain a 5-4 victory over Nazareth in an Empire 8 Conference women's tennis match.

Nazareth got singles victories from senior Ann Kucheryavenko (pictured) and sophomore Betsy O'Brien, but junior Angela Tessoni and sophomores Elizabeth Zimmerli and Eileen Slifer each dropped close matches.

O'Brien teamed with senior Andrea Gaddis to win at first doubles and the tandem of Kucheryavenko and Tessoni prevailed at second doubles. Nazareth is 1-2 overall.
