NAZARETH TOPS FISHER IN WOMEN'S TENNIS, 7-2

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Sept. 19, 2004) -- Angela Tessoni, Andrea Gaddis, and Ann Kucheryavenko (pictured) won the top three singles matches Sunday to lift Nazareth to a 7-2 victory over host St. John Fisher in women's tennis.

Tessoni and Gaddis were straight-set winners at first and second singles respectively, while Kucheryavenko used three sets to defeat Fisher's Kara Kellet at third singles. Sophomore Eileen Slifer also won her match at sixth singles.

Nazareth also captured all three doubles matches, with the first doubles team of Kucheryavenko and Tessoni winning 8-1. Gaddis teamed with sophomore Betsy O'Brien to win at second doubles, then the tandem of Liz Zimmerli and Kathryn Cross was successful at third doubles.
