ROCHESTER, N.Y. (April 22, 2007) -- Nazareth's men's tennis team took third place in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament Sunday after defeating St. John Fisher in a consolation match, 8-1.

The top-seeded Golden Flyers swept all six singles matches from the Cardinals to improve their overall record to 9-6. Andre Putyera (pictured), Jon Weaver, Terrance Nichols and Greg Bohneberg each won in straight sets, while Steve Trobert and Jerry Stocker won tiebreakers to secure team points.

In doubles Putyera and Weaver combined for an 8-2 win at first doubles, while Nichols and Trobert won at third doubles.
