EMILY LESHER NAMED
EMPIRE 8 ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
 ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (Feb. 5, 2007) -- Emily Lesher, a junior
on the Nazareth women’s swimming and diving
team, was named Empire 8 Athlete of the Week for
the seven-day period that ended Feb. 4. It marks
the fourth time this season that Lesher has been
honored as the Empire 8's top swimmer.
Lesher is a native of Sherrill, N.Y. and a graduate
of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School. She helped
the Golden Flyers complete their second straight
unbeaten dual meet season by winning three events
in a 185-115 victory at RIT last Saturday. She
won the 100 backstroke, the 100 freestyle and
the 200 IM to improve her career dual meet record
to 49-0.
Nazareth competes again Feb. 16-18 at the Empire
8 Conference championship meet.
