N.Y. (Oct. 28, 2006) -- Nazareth's women's swim
team won nine of 10 relays Saturday to finish
in first place at the Hartwick Relays. The Golden
Flyers posted a team score of 136to outdistance
Hartwick, which totaled 126. St. Rose was third
with 80 points, followed by Stevens Institute
with 42.
In the men's meet, Hartwick finished first with
156, followed by St. Rose with 106 and Nazareth
with 76 points.
Among the highlights in the women's meet was
Nazareth's first place finish in the 800 medley
relay. The foursome of Emily Lesher, Kate Kukan
(pictured), Sarah DuFour and Amy Mehltretter posted
a winning time of 9:29.94, more than 20 seconds
faster than second-place Hartwick.
For the men's team, Nazareth finished first in
the 300 breaststroke relay with the threesome
of Mike Fritz, Karl Kolkmann and Jon Campbell
with a time of 3:24.29, barely touching out second-place
Hartwick.
Nazareth has a home meet Friday against Brockport
at 5 p.m.
