MEET RESULTS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Nov. 3, 2006) -- Junior Emily Lesher (pictured) broke her own school record and her twin sister's pool record in the 400-meter freestyle Friday to lead Nazareth to a 157-75 victory over visiting Brockport in women's swimming and diving. In the men's meet, Brockport defeated Nazareth 130-100.

Lesher, who earned All-America honors in two events last March, finished first in the 400 free in 4:33.30, more than three seconds faster than her sister Alison's time in the same event last year and nearly four seconds better than her own pool record.

Lesher also won the 200 freestyle in 2:12.51 as the Golden Flyers won 11 of the 13 events to improve to 2-0 in dual meets. It was Nazareth's 13th straight dual meet victory, dating back to the 2004-05 season. The Golden Flyers won all nine of their dual meets last season.

Nazareth also got strong performances Friday from graduate student Amy Mehltretter, who finished first in both the 800 and 100 freestyles. Juniors Sarah DuFour, Caitlin Howlett and Meghan Okoniewski won the 100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke and 50 freestyle respectively. In addition, freshmen Stephanie Carroll and Lauren McKinney won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke. Sophomore Hilary Ship finished first in 1-meter diving.

In the men's meet, junior Jon Campbell won the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke. Freshman R.C. Weston won the 100 backstroke and freshman Matt Brown was a winner in 3-meter diving.

Nazareth competes again Saturday at St. Lawrence.
