Communication Sciences and Disorders major. . . daughter of Frank and Gaye Mehltretter, Tonawanda, N.Y. . . team captain... returning for her fourth season, Mehltretter graduated from Nazareth last spring, but is back as a graduate student. . . Mehltretter was third in scoring for the Golden Flyers as she amassed 359.75 team points in 2005-06 and finished in first place in the 1,650 freestyle, and second place in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle at the Empire 8 Conference championships… 2004-05: Mehltretter was sensational, finishing third on the team in scoring with 357.50 points while winning NYSWCAA titles in the 200 and the 1,650 freestyles. . . also won Empire 8 Conference titles in those two events in addition to the 500 freestyle. . . set school records in the 1,000 free (10:44.07) and the 1,650 free (17:47.65) and is part of three relay records. . . participated on the 800 free relay team that won NYSWCAA and Empire 8 titles. . . recipient of team’s Coaches Award in recognition of hard work, dedication and exemplary commitment to the swimming and diving program. . . 2003-04: Mehltretter enjoyed great success, leading the Golden Flyers in scoring with 259.75 points. . . swam well at the NYSWCAA meet, finishing fourth in the 1,650 freestyle and fifth in both the 200 and 500 freestyles. . . recipient of team’s Most Valuable Swimmer and High Point awards. . . a graduate of Holy Angels Academy in Buffalo, Mehltretter swam there for four seasons and was team MVP three times. . . won Catholic League titles in the 200 and 500 freestyles. . . also competed in track.
