NAZARETH 11TH AFTER FIRST DAY
Swimming resumes Friday at Upper New York State meet

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Feb 22, 2007)-- With one day complete at the Upper New York State Swimming and Diving Championships at Nottingham High School, Nazareth's men's team was in 11th place in the 14-team event.

Nazareth had its most success in two relays as the Golden Flyers had two top 10 finishes. In the 200 free relay, Nazareth placed ninth in 1:30.81 with the foursome of Tim Baker, Rob Wortel, Jacques Tardie and Jon Campbell. The Golden Flyers were 10th in the 400 medley relay with R.C. Weston, Campbell, Eric Lenhardt and Baker with a time of 3:45.25.

Three Empire 8 Conference school occupied the top three places in the team standings with Alfred setting the pace with 416 points. RIT was second with 336, followed by Ithaca with 306. Nazareth had 92 team points.

Swimming resumes Friday and concludes Saturday.
