RESULTS
ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (Feb 3, 2007)-- The Nazareth women’s
swim team finished their regular season undefeated
for the second consecutive year. Junior Emily
Lesher finished first in three events; the 100
backstroke, 100 freestyle, and the 200 IM with
times of 1:04.51, 54.49, and 2:17.81 respectively.
Hilary Ship finished first in the open 1-meter
having 194.15 points and in the 3-meter with 205.85
points. Lindsey Buzard placed second in the 1-meter
dive. Among others who also came in first were
graduate student Amy Mehltretter, junior Sarah
DuFour, and freshman Jeanne Falco. Junior Kate
Kukan placed second in the 100 breaststroke. Junior
Megan Okoniewski, freshman Amanda Paswaters, and
sophomore Amanda Paswaters placed third, fourth,
and fifth respectively in the 50 freestyle.
In the men’s meet junior Jon Campbell placed
first in the 100 breastroke with a time of 1:05.34.
Senior Tim Baker had a pair of fourth place finishes
in the 200 freestyle and backstroke. Freshman
Eric Lenhardt and sophomore Don Curran placed
third and fourth respectively in the 100 backstroke.
Sophomore Jaques Tardie finished fourth in the
100 freestyle, followed by Lenhardt in fifth,
and sophomore Michael Fritz in sixth place.
The women's team competes next at Empire 8/NYSWCAA
Championships February 15-17 at Nottingham High
School. The men's team competes February 22-24
at Nottingham High School for the Empire 8/UNYS
Championships.
