NAZARETH FALLS TO RIT IN MEN'S SWIMMING
MEET RESULTS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Feb. 4, 2004) -- Junior Paul Osetek won two events for Nazareth Saturday in men's swimming and diving, but the Golden Flyers lost to RIT, 129-80.

Osetek (pictured) won the 800 freestyle (9:47.13) and the 200 breaststroke (2:50.95).

In the women's meet, host Nazareth secured a first-place finish in the 400-meter freestyle relay in the meet's final event Saturday as the Golden Flyers battled to a 118-118 tie with RIT in women's swimming and diving.

The foursome of Jackie Crossett, Margie Bowen , Jennifer Migliore, and Amy Mehltretter reached the finish line first in a time of 4:24.36. That was more than two seconds better than RIT's foursome and earned the Golden Flyers 11 needed to tie the meet.

Bowen also won two other events for the Golden Flyers -- the 400 free (4:56.95) and the 800 free (10:13.08). Other winners for Nazareth were Mehltretter in the 200 freestyle (2:17.66) and Meghan Rosinski in the 2100 breaststroke (2:57.07).
