NAZARETH DEFEATS FREDONIA FOR FIRST MEN'S SWIMMING WIN

RESULTS

FREDONIA, N.Y. (Nov. 15, 2003) -- Junior Paul Osetek (pictured) posted a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and placed second in the 200 freestyle Saturday as Nazareth recorded its first victory of the season in men's swimming and diving. The Golden Flyers defeated host Fredonia 155-103. The women's team also was victorious, 159-116.

In the men's meet, Osetek also was a member of Nazareth's winning 400 medley relay team that included Tim Baker, Matt Muratore, and Dan Paganin.

Other highlights included first-place finishes for Baker in the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes; Paganin in the 100- and 200-yard butterflys; Justin Montemarano in the 200 breaststroke; and Muratore in the 500 freestyle.

For the women's team, junior Laura Tyler won the 100- and 200-yard butterflys. Other winners included Margie Bowen in the 200 freestyle; Melanie Gorenflo in the 100 backstroke; Jackie Crossett in the 200 backstroke; Meghan Rosinski in the 200 breaststroke; and Lindsay Slocum in the 200 IM.
