ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Sept. 12, 2006) – Nazareth scored twice in the second half Tuesday to break a 0-0 tie and went on to a 2-0 non-conference victory against host Geneseo.

Taryn Bilodeau (McGraw, NY) scored in the 69th minute and Alicia Franceschi (Liverpool, NY) scored in the 82nd minute as Nazareth improves to 4-1 overall in women's soccer. Geneseo falls to 0-1.

Nazareth outshot Geneseo 14-9. Shannon Burns (Colonie HS/Albany, NY) made four saves for her third shutout of the season. Laura Castor also made four saves for the host Blue Knights.

The Golden Flyers came into Tuesday's game ranked 18th nationally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Golden Flyers open up their Empire 8 conference schedule at home on Saturday against Utica at 1 p.m.
