ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Sept. 7, 2006) –
Nazareth's Rosie Simiele (pictured) scored the game's winning goal with less than nineteen minutes to play in the second half on Thursday. The goal lifted host Nazareth to a 2-1 victory over SUNY Brockport in a non-conference game.

Nazareth opened the scoring with a goal by Rachel Cushman (Irondequoit HS/ Rochester, NY) in the 17th minute. Brockport tied the game off a header by Michele Cella (Connetquot HS/Oakdale, NY) early in the second half.

Nazareth had a 21-6 edge in shots and Shannon Burns (Colonie HS/Albany, NY) finished with four saves to record her third straight win. Liz Durfee (Williamson HS/ Williamson, NY) made 11 saves for Brockport. Nazareth is home again Saturday for a non-conference game against Skidmore at 2 p.m.
