Pacitto (pictured) had goals for Nazareth Tuesday
as the Golden Flyers won their 10th men's soccer
game of the season, a 2-0 triumph over SUNY Institute
of Technology at Golden Flyer Stadium.
Nazareth improved to 10-3 overall with the non-conference
victory. SUNYIT is 4-9.
The Golden Flyers enjoyed a 19-7 advantage in
shots and got a first-half goal from Holmberg,
who chipped a shot over the Wildcats' goalkeeper
after receiving a long, cross-field pass from
teammate Ed Babcock.
In the second half, Pacitto (Wayne Central/Ontario,
NY) scored his second goal of the season off an
assist from Andrew Wirfel. Pacitto slipped past
the Wildcats' defense and beat the goalkeeper
one-on-one.
Senior goalie Alex Kilroy (Spencerport HS/Spencerport,
NY) gained credit for his fourth shutout of the
season and 15th of his career after making four
saves.
Nazareth closes the regular season with four
straight home games, including a non-conference
challenge Saturday against Hobart at 1 p.m.
