ALEX KILROY NAMED
EMPIRE 8 GOALIE OF THE WEEK
 ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (Sept. 5, 2006) -- Alex Kilroy, a senior
goalie on the Nazareth College men’s soccer
team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Goalie
of the Week for the seven-day period that ended
Sept. 3, 2006.
A native of Spencerport, N.Y. and a graduate
of Spencerport High School, Kilroy helped the
Golden Flyers to a pair of victories over the
weekend at the Doug May Classic, hosted by RIT.
He made nine saves in Nazareth's 2-1 overtime
victory over Geneseo, then followed that up with
three saves in a 3-1 win over Washington &
Jefferson. He was named the tournament's Most
Valuable Defender.
Nazareth (2-0) hosts Buffalo State in a non-conference
game Wednesday at 4 p.m.
