NAZARETH'S ALEX KILROY NAMED
EMPIRE 8 GOALIE OF THE WEEK

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Sept. 25, 2006) -- Alex Kilroy, a senior goalie on the Nazareth College men’s soccer team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Goalie of the Week for the seven-day period that ended Sept. 24, 2006.

A native of Spencerport, N.Y. and a graduate of Spencerport High School, Kilroy recorded eight saves in two games to help the Golden Flyers improve to 6-2 overall to equal their 2005 win total. He had seven saves in a 2-1 loss to Rochester last Tuesday and had one save in his 14th career shutout last Saturday, a 2-0 win at Elmira.

For the season, Kilroy has 41 saves in eight games for a 0.74 goals-against average and three shutouts. Nazareth hosts Fredonia Tuesday at 4 p.m.
