ALEX KILROY NAMED
EMPIRE 8 GOALIE OF THE WEEK AGAIN
 ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (Oct. 2, 2006) -- Alex Kilroy, a senior goalie
on the Nazareth College men’s soccer team,
has been named Empire 8 Conference Goalie of the
Week for the seven-day period that ended Oct.
1, 2006.
A native of Spencerport, N.Y. and a graduate
of Spencerport High School, Kilroy made 11 saves
in a pair of Nazareth victories last week as the
Golden Flyers extended their overall record to
8-2, including 2-1 in the Empire 8 Conference.
It marks the third time this season that Kilroy
has been honored by the Empire 8.
For the season, Kilroy has 52 saves for a 0.89
goals-against average with three shutouts. Nazareth
plays its next games on the road -- Tuesday at
Daemen for a non-conference game and Saturday
at Alfred for an E8 game at 7 p.m.
