ASSISTANT COACH
After a brilliant four-year playing career for the
Golden Flyers, Shawna Kabot returns to Nazareth for her third season
as an assistant coach.
Kabot graduated in 2004 with a degree in Communication Science and
Disorders and now has a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.
She earned numerous individual honors as a lacrosse player and ranks
fourth all-time at Nazareth in career scoring with 204 points on
175 goals and 29 assists.
Kabot was a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star selection four
straight years and was co-Player of the Year in 2003. She also was
a four-time all-NYSWCAA selection and a regional All-American pick
three times.
In 2004, Kabot was the Golden Flyers’ team captain and leading
scorer with 50 points on 42 goals and eight assists. She led the
Golden Flyers to a 14-4 record and an NCAA Tournament selection.
She scored six goals in the Golden Flyers’ 12-5 first-round
tournament victory over Wooster.
Kabot was selected to compete in the annual North-South Senior all-star
game and was Nazareth’s 2004 recipient of the Bill Carey Sportsmanship
Award.
Kabot is a native of Horseheads, N.Y. and excelled in basketball
and lacrosse at Horseheads High School.

GOTHAM
ASSISTANT COACH
Former Nazareth defensive standout Lindsay Gotham
joined the women’s lacrosse coaching staff this spring after
a fine four-year playing career that culminated with her selection
as a first-team All-American in 2005.
A native of Seneca Falls, N.Y., Gotham was a four-year starter as
a defender and was a four-time first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star.
She also was a three-time regional All-American.
Gotham helped the Golden Flyers to a four-year record of 50-18 with
two conference titles and three NCAA Tournament berths.
Gotham graduated from Nazareth in ‘05 with a degree in psychology.
RACHEL
SPOONHOWER
ASSISTANT COACH
Webster native Rachel Spoonhower joined the Nazareth
women’s lacrosse coaching staff for 2007 after a four-year
playing career at Cornell University.
As a defender in 2006, Spoonhower helped the Big Red to a 12-4 record,
a share of the Ivy League championship and a berth in the NCAA Division
I Tournament.
Spoonhower played attack at Webster High School and was a three-time
Monroe County League all-star and an All-American selection as a
senior in 2002. She graduated from Cornell last spring with a degree
in Biology and Society.
