N.Y. (April 21, 2007) -- Visiting Nazareth built
a 9-0 halftime advantage Saturday and went on
to take a 13-1 women's lacrosse victory over Alfred
in an Empire 8 Conference game.
The victory enabled the Golden Flyers to complete
their conference schedule unbeaten at 7-0 with
their 20th straight regular-season conference
win. Nazareth is 10-1 overall. Nazareth also will
be the top seed and host for the Empire 8 Conference
Tournament May 5-6. Nazareth closes out its regular-season
schedule with a pair of non-conference home games
this week -- William Smith Wednesday at 4 p.m.
and Rochester Saturday at 1 p.m.
Freshman Nora Davis (pictured) tallied three
goals and one assist in Saturday's win. Senior
Tia Morgia had two goals and three assists and
senior Beth Quartier, junior Caity Richardson
and freshman Stephanie Cash also scored twice
each. Sophomores Shannon Lattimore and Maggie
Mullin also scored goals.
