Scholastic: a graduate of Bow High School in New Hampshire, Purcell played four seasons of varsity lacrosse there and helped team win Division II state title in 2002. . . served as team captain and earned first-team all-state honors in 2002 and honorable mention recognition in 2001 . . . invited to compete in Vermont vs. New Hampshire all-star game at Dartmouth College as well East vs. West all-star game in Boston. . . also competed in basketball and golf.
