2004: was the Golden Flyers' primary face-off specialist. . . appeared in all 19 games and captured 62 percent of his draws taken (165-for-265). . .  scored his first career goal in an 18-7 win over RIT in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament. . . also won 13 of 15 face-offs in that game. . .  won 19 of 23 face-offs in 17-16 double overtime win over the Tigers 4/17/04.
2003: appeared in 10 games in 2003 and scooped up 13 ground balls and won 50 percent of his face-offs taken (27-for-54).
Scholastic: a graduate of Fairport High School, Gaffney played two seasons of varsity lacrosse for Coach Randy Garrett. . . earned second-team Monroe County League all-star honors in 2001 and 2002 while leading team to league, section, and Western New York titles. . . recipient of team's Spark Plug award as well as scholar-athlete award. . . played two seasons of varsity football and earned Alumni Association scholarship award as well U.S. Marine Corp Exemplary Athlete award.
