6 Nazareth seniors also selected to compete

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (May 23, 2007) -- Rob Randall, who recently completed his seventh season as head coach of the Nazareth men's lacrosse team, has been selected to coach the North squad for this Friday's North-South Classic, which features the nation's top Division III seniors.

The game, sponsored by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, will be played at 4 p.m. at Calvert Hall in Baltimore.

In addition to Randall, Nazareth will have four players competing for the North squad in attackman Ryan Hotaling, midfielder Chad Amidon, defensive midfielder Francis Donald and defenseman Ryan Conley.

Two players from the Nazareth women's lacrosse team also were selected to play in the women's Division III North-South game June 16 in Dowingtown, Pa. Senior attackers Tia Morgia and Beth Quartier will represent the Golden Flyers.

Randall has a seven-year record of 94-23 at Nazareth, including a 16-3 mark in 2007, and will be joined by assistants Ryan Martin and Jeff Mangini as North team coaches. Hotaling and Amidon were Nazareth's top two scorers in 2007 and were recently selected as first-team All-Americans by the USILA. Donald and Conley each played key defensive roles for the Golden Flyers in '07.

For the Nazareth women's team, Morgia and Quartier finished first and second in scoring with 51 and 37 points respectively. Both were selected as first-team Empire 8 Conference all-stars as Nazareth finished with an overall record of 13-3.
