TO COACH IN NORTH-SOUTH GAME
6 Nazareth seniors also selected to compete
ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (May 23, 2007) -- Rob Randall, who recently
completed his seventh season as head coach of
the Nazareth men's lacrosse team, has been selected
to coach the North squad for this Friday's North-South
Classic, which features the nation's top Division
III seniors.
The game, sponsored by the United States Intercollegiate
Lacrosse Association, will be played at 4 p.m.
at Calvert Hall in Baltimore.
In addition to Randall, Nazareth will have four
players competing for the North squad in attackman
Ryan Hotaling, midfielder Chad Amidon, defensive
midfielder Francis Donald and defenseman Ryan
Conley.
Two players from the Nazareth women's lacrosse
team also were selected to play in the women's
Division III North-South game June 16 in Dowingtown,
Pa. Senior attackers Tia Morgia and Beth Quartier
will represent the Golden Flyers.
Randall has a seven-year record of 94-23 at Nazareth,
including a 16-3 mark in 2007, and will be joined
by assistants Ryan Martin and Jeff Mangini as
North team coaches. Hotaling and Amidon were Nazareth's
top two scorers in 2007 and were recently selected
as first-team All-Americans by the USILA. Donald
and Conley each played key defensive roles for
the Golden Flyers in '07.
For the Nazareth women's team, Morgia and Quartier
finished first and second in scoring with 51 and
37 points respectively. Both were selected as
first-team Empire 8 Conference all-stars as Nazareth
finished with an overall record of 13-3.
