NAMED E8 GOALIE OF THE WEEK
ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (April 2, 2007) -- A Nazareth senior lacrosse
player named Pat Mullin, graduate of Irondequoit
High School and a native of Rochester, N.Y., has
been named Empire 8 Conference Goalie of the Week
for the seven-day period that ended April 1.
Mullin equaled a career-high with 20 saves in
a 7-6 Nazareth win over Cortland March 28. He
made seven of his saves in the fourth quarter,
including one in the final minute to preserve
the one-goal difference.
It marks the second time this season that Mullin
has been honored by the Empire 8. He has started
all eight games for the ninth-ranked Golden Flyers
(7-1) and ranks among the Division III leaders
in goals-against average (6.91) and save percentage
(.683).
Nazareth returns to action Wednesday to host
Utica at 4 p.m.
