AMIDON
NAMED E8 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
 ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (April 2, 2007) -- Chad Amidon, a senior
midfielder on the Nazareth men's lacrosse team,
has been named Empire 8 Conference Player of the
Week for the seven-day period that ended April
1.
A native of Syracuse, N.Y,. and a graduate of
Onondaga High School, Amidon recorded seven points
last week in two Nazareth victories. He scored
the game-winning goal with 1:24 remaining in a
7-6 win over Cortland March 28. He also had three
goals and one assist in a 21-4 victory over Elmira
on Saturday. Amidon totaled nine ground balls
in the two games and won 16 of 25 faceoffs.
Amidon leads the ninth-ranked Golden Flyers in
scoring with 23 points on13 goals and 10 assists.
He also has won 52 percent of his faceoffs ((45
for 86).
Nazareth plays again Wednesday at home against
E8 Conference rival Utica at 4 p.m.
