Undecided on major. . . son of Jay and Sondra Hotaling, Syracuse, N.Y. . .  back for his second season, Hotaling emerged as a capable scoring threat in 2004, as he appeared in 11 games and produced 17 points on 14 goals and three assists as an attackman. . . scored three times each in wins over Skidmore and Hartwick. . .  contributed a goal in the Golden Flyers' 13-9 loss to Salisbury in the national championship game. . . Scholastic: a graduate of Onondaga Central near Syracuse, Hotaling played lacrosse at Corcoran High School for four seasons and was a two-time Onondaga League all-star as an attackman. . . earned third-team all-Central New York honors and was chosen to play in Exceptional Senior all-star game in 2003. . . also was a standout in football and basketball at Onondaga. . . led football team to a 26-0 record in two seasons as starting quarterback. . .  team won Section Three and state titles in 2001 and 2002. . . was captain of varsity basketball team for two seasons and was a two-time Onondaga League all-star.
