-- Houghton scored both of its goals in the second
half Thursday in a 2-0 non-conference field hockey
victory over visiting Nazareth.
Houghton used a 25-5 shot advantage
to improve to 4-1 overall while Nazareth slipped
to 1-5.
Natalie Wenger and Stacy Garber
scored less than five minutes apart in the second
half to snap a scoreless tie and send the Highlanders
to the victory. Nazareth's Nichole Magistro made
her first-ever start in goal and made seven saves.
Nazareth plays again Sunday in
an Empire 8 Conference match at Utica at 2 p.m.
