HAMILTON DEFEATS NAZARETH, 4-0
Golden Flyers (2-9) host Washington & Jefferson on Sunday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Oct. 10, 2006) -- Visiting Hamilton controlled most of the game as the Continentals scored two goals in both the first and second half to give them a 4-0 victory over Nazareth in a non-conference game. The Continentals improve their record to 2-9. Nazareth's record fell to 2-9 with the loss.

Jess Goldberg (Choate Rosemary Hall/ Pittsburgh, PA) opened the scoring for Hamilton with a goal in the 29th minute off an assist from Marley Berns (Brighton HS/ Rochester, NY). Two minutes later, Amy Allen (Loomis Chaffee HS/ Brights Grove, Ontario) added a second goal for the Continentals. Hamilton continued to play strong in the second half with a goal by Natalie Schwerin (Saint Georges School/Oyster Bay, NY) in the 43rd minute and Marley Berns in the 64th minute.

Hamilton outshot Nazareth 15-7 and held a 13-3 edge in penalty corners. Katie May (Irondequoit HS/Rochester, NY) made seven saves for the Golden Flyers. Courtney DeMaria (Groton/Littleton, MA) made four saves in 54 minutes to earn the shutout victory.

The Golden Flyers are home again on Sunday for a conference game against William & Jefferson at 1p.m.
