(Fairport, pictured) scored her first career goal
midway through the second half Tuesday to lift
Nazareth to a 2-1 victory over visiting Geneseo
in women's field hockey.
The non-conference victory evened
Nazareth's record to 1-1. Geneseo is 0-1.
Nazareth took a 1-0 lead on an
unassisted goal by Jodee Magistro at 16:47. Geneseo
tied the score early in the second half on a goal
by Sarah Buchanan. The score remained tied until
56:01 when Flanagan one-timed a shot off a pass
from Magistro, who was credited with an assist.
Nazareth had a 14-9 advantage
in shots. Sophomore Katie May (Irondequoit) had
five saves for Nazareth. Megan Coltoniak (Hilton)
had 10 saves for Geneseo.
Nazareth's next game is Friday
at home against St. Lawrence at 6 p.m.
