 ROCHESTER,
N.Y. (Oct. 2, 2006) -- Kelly Flanagan, a freshman
forward, and Kristen McIntyre (far right), a sophomore
goalie, were honored this week by the Empire 8
Conference as Player and Goalie of the Week respectively
in field hockey.
Flanagan,

School, scored the game's only goal Saturday in
Nazareth's 1-0 overtime victory over E8 rival
Ithaca. The goal, with four minutes left in the
second overtime, was Flanagan's second of the
season and lifted the Golden Flyers to their first-ever
field hockey victory over Ithaca in five tries.
McIntyre,
of Lockport, N.Y. and a graduate of Royalton-Hartland
High School, made her first career start in goal
Saturday at Ithaca and made eight saves to post
the shutout victory. Ithaca came into Saturday's
game with a 3-0 record in conference play.
Nazareth,
which improved to 2-6 overall with Saturday's
win, plays twice this weekend -- Saturday at Hartwick
at 11 a.m and Sunday at Oneonta at 1 p.m.
