NAZARETH'S JAMIE MALLOY NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Nov. 27, 2006) -- Jamie Malloy, a freshman guard on the Nazareth College women's basketball team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Week for the seven-day period that ended Nov. 26, 2006.

A native of Penfield, N.Y. and a graduate of Penfield High School, Malloy averaged 10 points and seven rebounds as Nazareth opened its 2006-07 season with a pair of non-conference wins over the weekend. She had 14 points and eight rebounds in her collegiate debut, an 81-61 win over Clarkson Saturday.

Nazareth plays again Wednesday at William Smith at 6 p.m..
