NAZARETH TOPS RIT FOR 4TH STRAIGHT WIN, 68-52
Golden Flyers (12-8 overall) host Hartwick, Utica this weekend

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Feb. 8, 2005) – Senior Sara Shipley posted game highs in points (22) and rebounds (12) Tuesday as Nazareth rallied from a four-point halftime deficit to defeat host RIT in women's basketball, 68-52.

Nazareth's fourth straight victory improved the Golden Flyers' record to 12-8 overall and 5-5 in the Empire 8 Conference.

Nazareth trailed 31-27 at halftime, but outscored the Tigers 14-2 over the first four minutes of the second half to go up 41-33. Shipley, who made 11 of 15 shots from the field overall, scored eight points in the decisive scoring run.

Freshman Ali Sharpe added 12 points and eight rebounds for Nazareth and sophomore Cassie Denniston (pictured) scored 10 points and dished out seven assists. Senior Jaimee McGivern had nine points and eight assists.

Nazareth plays its final regular-season home games this weekend. The Golden Flyers host Hartwick Friday at 6 p.m. and Utica Saturday at 2 p.m. (WHTK-AM 1280).
