TROY, N.Y. (Dec. 4, 2004) -- All-tournament team selection Jaimee McGivern (pictured) scored a game-high 17 points Saturday and senior forward Kate Gagliardi added 11 points and 10 rebounds as Nazareth salvaged a third-place finish at the Russell Sage Invitational for women's basketball with a 72-59 victory over Pine Manor.

The victory improved Nazareth's record to 2-1. The Golden Flyers enjoyed a decent shooting game, making 30 of 70 field-goal attempts (43 percent). Nazareth also heled a decisive rebounding advantage over Pine Manor, 50-33.

Freshman Ali Sharpe made her most significant contribution to date, scoring nine points and grabbing six rebounds in 20 minutes of action. Sara Shipley added eight points and six rebounds. McGivern grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists in addition to her 15 points.

Nazareth completes its first-semester schedule Friday with a non-conference game at William Smith at 7 p.m.
