McADAM NAMED E8 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Feb. 5, 2007) -- Corey McAdam, a freshman guard on the Nazareth College men's basketball team, has been named Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Week for the seven-day period that ended Feb. 5, 2007. It marks the fourth time this season that McAdam has been honored as the E8's top rookie.

A native of Fairport, N.Y. and a graduate of Fairport High School, McAdam totaled 34 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists in two conference games over the weekend. He had 18 points and seven rebounds in a loss at St. John Fisher last Friday. He contributed 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals in a double overtime loss at Alfred Saturday.

McAdam is the Golden Flyers' second leading scorer this season at 15.3 points per game. He also ranks among the Division III leaders in assists and steals at 7.0 and 2.8 per game respectively.
