BOXSCORE | UPDATED STATS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Feb. 8, 2005) -- Host RIT bolted to a 19-4 lead in the first seven minutes Tuesday and never trailed as the Tigers cruised past Nazareth, 75-54, in men's basketball.

Nazareth's third straight loss left the Golden Flyers with an overall record of 7-14, including a 2-8 mark in conference play. RIT is 14-7, 8-2.

Despite the slow start, Nazareth was able to close within five, 27-22 by halftime. A 24-17 scoring run over the first eight minutes of the second half enabled RIT's lead to swell to double digits, 51-39, and RIT was comfortably ahead the rest of the way.

Nazareth struggled with its shooting as the Golden Flyers shot just 32 percent (21-for-66) for the game, including 1-for-22 from three-point range.

Freshman Ryan McAdam (pictured) was Nazareth's high scorer with 11 points. Joe Canori added nine points and Justin Fladd had eight.

Nazareth returns to action this weekend to host Hartwick Friday at 8 p.m. and Utica Saturday at 4 p.m.
