Tools & Tips | The Alumni Representative Program
-
What is the time commitment associated with the alumni representative program? It's flexible and up to you. Some alumni representatives may choose to do one fair per year; others may choose to do more. The college fair "season" runs from September to early November, and April to May. Most contacts with students would occur in the spring.

What if I'm asked a question I can't answer? Don't panic! We don't expect you'll be able to answer every question asked of you. Use your manual to answer what you can and direct all other inquiries to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
-
How can I prepare myself to represent Nazareth? Once a year, the College will sponsor an Alumni Representative Weekend during which you will be provided
with updated statistics, news concerning the College as well as tips and tools. Information will also be available online. Any materials you will need for attending college fairs will be sent to you.
How early do I need to arrive before a college fair? You will need to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of a college fair in order to locate and set up your table. IMPORTANT: Please be sure to plan on staying through the end of the fair.
- What if I've signed up for a fair that I can't do? Because in most cases Nazareth pays a fee to participate in college fairs, we ask that you sign up only if you know you can commit the time. In the event of an emergency, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as soon as possible.

What is the appropriate attire for a college fair? Business-casual dress is appropriate when representing Nazareth at a college fair. You will be speaking not only with students, but parents and perhaps guidance counselors as well.
